Product Overview

Slingerland's 5-ply shells filled arenas and studios throughout the 1970s, and now these drums are reborn in the high-volume Studio King Series. Designed to the exact specs of the original shell, Studio King features the same Maple-Poplar formula with a 45-degree bearing edge for maximum projection to cut through a live mix in large spaces-and versatility to thrive under a studio mic. These shells start with a sharp and bright attack, warm and balanced tone, and finish with long sustain.

The Studio King series features Nickel-plated hardware with vintage-inspired badge design, 'Stick Saver' hoops, and Beavertail lugs for classic aesthetics. Also, heavy-duty 1/2″ inch floor tom legs and folding bass drum spurs give these drums road-ready durability.

This configuration includes a 9x13″ tom, 16x16″ floor tom, 14x22″ bass drum, and 6.5x14″ snare drum.
